The Circle of Insanity

So my godchild Ehryn and her sister Emma came to spend the night on the 2oth. Ehryn is three and Emma is seven months old. This was set up to happen weeks ago. So my sister last minute had a babysitter issue. She asked me if I could watch Conner who is two months old as well. I had told her that I was already going to have three kids at the house and that it was going to be really hard with four, but I could not say no to my nephew. I had Dave home to help and Mom and Dad came over for a few hours to lend us a helping hand. I now know why it is physically impossible to have children less than nine months apart unless you are the few blessed with twins. (glad that is not me) It was a very interesting evening. Every time Ben or Conner cried the other one would start. I had Emma sleep in Ben's crib, Ehryn sleep in the bed in Ben's room, Conner slept in the pack n play downstairs with me on the couch and Ben got the bassinet in our room with Dave. Emma slept through the night, Ehryn got up once at four am thinking it was morning luckily she went back to sleep till seven. Conner was up at twice during the night. I woke Ben up at five thirty when he normally gets up just so he would be changed and fed. All of the kids seemed to be up at seven. I took Ehryn to get donuts then took Conner home at eight. Ehryn and Emma got picked up at ten. From twelve till two Ben and I took a nap while Dave cut the grass. I was so tired. Insanity having that many kids at the house all night.

The Baby Adventure

As we all know the baby is late. I think that he is just scared after two car accidents to be a part of the real world. He is safer in mommy. He was estimated to come out the 17th but he held on for me so that I could graduate from NCCC. That was nice of him. So I went to the doctor today had he decided that it was time to make him come out even if he does not want to. 8pm we were told to go to the hospital so that they could start the process of inducing me. It is not looking like we are going to have the baby until late tomorrow but for now we are at the hospital. It would not be so bad but they had to stick me four times prior to getting the IV in my arm. Let me just say ouch! Other than that not much going on. I am sure that when he comes out tomorrow Dave will post pictures for everyone.

Update

Well after a nice letter to the higher ups at the dealership the front window issue is resolved. The dealership replaced the window at no cost to us. One fight down now on to the next fight. Why do insurance companies always think that they know best? So the dealership and the adjuster for the car accident looked at the car and it is going to be $2,500.00 to fix however that is not including $700.00 for the back window. The insurance company is claiming that the crack in the back window was prior damage and was in no way caused by the accident. Hello I only owned the car for two days at that point. So I had to have my insurance company send over the pictures that they took of the car to prove that it was not prior damage. What a hassle. At least I got the car to the insurance company prior to someone hitting it. It seems that this is going to be like the accident that took place on easter (mind you that is still not resolved so Dave's truck has $1,400.00 in damage to it as well). I figure at this pace by the end of summer both cars will be fixed, however we are still waiting for both companies to get a hold of their insured. Oh well at least the cars are drivable and nothing was wrong with the baby. Thank God for that. Two car accidents in less than two months. Hopefully this will be the last one for a really long time. At this point this may be the first and the last kid we have just so that we do not have to deal with anymore insurance companies (yeah right I am sure their will be more than one). Oh and update on the baby. . . . still no progress my doctor decided that he was going to start stretching me out and see if he could move it along. Oh my that was painful but hopefully it will help. Soon enough he will be here.

Only me

Thursday my first day with the new car. I got to show it to a few people and of course I drove it down to the insurance company so that they could do the picture inspection. The problem I found was that when I would go to stop, the steering wheel would shake every time I would brake. Not good for a car that we just got a few hours ago. I called the sales rep back and told her about the problem. It had to go in on Friday for the window so she said they could just look at it then. So I really did not drive anywhere the rest of the day due to the shaking. So Friday morning I get up and take the car to the dealership. By one in the afternoon I had not heard anything from them I called and they were going to call me back in fifteen mins. So three hours later I called back and finally was informed that he car would be ready at eight thirty and they had to replace the brakes on the whole car (front and back pads and new rotors). Ok so I asked about the chip in the window I was then informed that the chip had been sealed by the prior owner and the dealership was refusing to replace the window. They want me to make an insurance claim and have the insurance company replace the window. Not happy at all so Dave is taking it up with the higher ups of North Town. So I got the car and left the dealership.

JUST MY LUCK

Just about two blocks away from the dealership is the intersection of N falls Blvd and Sheridan drive. I was stopped at the red light on Sheridan wouldn't you know a big Chevy Silverado fails stop and goes about 20mph into my new cars back end. MY NEW CAR. . . .MY BABY. . . So we pull over I am in tears called Dave he was driving his truck home and told him where to meet me. The guy that hit me was all in my face and wanted to solve it personally without the police or the insurance companies OH NO so I called the police. The Tonawanda police responded and were unable to do anything because it happened on Amherst side of the intersection. So we waited an hour for the Amherst police to show up. They gave us a complaint # and an exchange of information form. So I called the doctor and drove straight to the hospital to make sure the baby was ok. Everything was fine with the baby so they let me go home after about three hours. Only I could drive two blocks away from the dealership and have a car accident. My baby though is never going to drive. Two car accidents and he is not even born yet. So now we have to go through the insurance for the new car and we have not even gotten the accident from Easter resolved. . . JUST MY LUCK

So the new car now has three dents on the back door, blue paint all over the bumper, and a whole bunch of scratches and dings. wow could I at least make the first car payment or even own the car for more than two days prior to it having to be fixed? I guess not.

Only the Begning

The Old Tracker

And the new Mini Van

So Dave and I decided that we needed to get a bigger car than the Chevy tracker that I had. So we spent the week and went car shopping. The problem with the tracker is that the car seat and was so close to the other seats it would be uncomfortable to drive. We found a good deal on a 2007 Hyundai Entourage (yes a mini van). I was not to excited to buy a mini van but in all reality it will be so much easier with the kid and that way we will not have to buy a new car in a few years if we decided to have more kids (well at least not until we have to drive a van like John's) Not that I don't like the idea of fifteen seats but for me the mini van is a big step. So we got all the paper work together and arrange with North Town to trade in the tracker. I never realized how hard it is to say goodbye to a car. My tracker was a great little suv. So Wednesday night we picked up the new car. As we were going through the car prior to taking delivery we noticed a chip in the window. The sales rep said it would not be a problem to have it fixed. So we made an appointment for Friday to have it fixed.

April

Most of April I spent getting ready for the baby to come. I did a lot of shopping and getting the house together for the baby. Most of the month was normal. My 23rd birthday was the 17th and Dave cooked me dinner and made me a cake. I even got birthday flowers. For my birthday present we got a laptop. I even got to order a cow skin for it. I think that it will be easier when I have to travel and being able to be on the computer anywhere in the house I am sure will come in handy when the baby gets here. My job even gave me a birthday present. They started construction on the roof to remove asbestos. The doctor pulled me out of work the day construction began. They wanted me to return to work for a week after they had finished but my doctor just kept me out. I can tell you that it is weird not having to work 40 hours a week. All this time and I still feel like I get nothing done. It will be fun though when the baby comes.

Baby Shower

The baby shower was on March 30th and it went well. Momma Payne and my Aunt Lynne threw the shower. It was a small event but it was fun. Dave went to work so that he was not here for the shower. We had so much food and my aunt made a cake that that I think everyone would appreciate. She was going to make a little boy but the troll was the only cake pan she had that came close. Momma Payne made the center piece for the table. Very creative. The shower went really well.

So what did March bring?

March. . . Everything was good until Easter. That lovely car accident that we got into at the corner of NFalls Blvd and Sheridan Drive. So that was a great trip to the hospital for the baby. Luckily everything turned out ok and their were no complications with the baby. So the day after Easter gram went back into the hospital. She was so bad that they kept her in the ICU for three days. They finally figured out where she was bleeding from and they were able to tie off the vain's that were bleeding. After they stabilized her and sent her home we have not had to go back. Hopefully this is the last trip to the hospital and they fixed the problem.

Really need to learn to keep up

Ok well like I said I really need to learn to keep up on the blog thing. So February well what really happened? Oh that was the month of hospital visits. My grandmother was in the hospital due to internal bleeding. Her blood level kept dropping and they kept her for three days to run tests. They stabilized her and sent her home. I was hoping that it would be the last hospital visit of the year, boy was I mistaken. About three days later I got a call that informed me that my father was in the hospital. He had a major infection surrounding his heart and his defibrillator. The doctor had to go in and remove the defibrillator in order to get to the infection. Six hours of surgery but that way they could treat the infection. So I had to take the week off from work and go down to Virginia to help take care of my father. It was not a bad trip and my doctor said that I would be fine to drive down but I would not have been able to fly out to Utah for Missy's wedding. It was a good thing due to the fact that it was that weekend that I had to leave to go see my dad in the hospital. I came home on Dave's birthday so that we would be together. It was a rushed trip however it was needed. Dad is doing good and they plan on putting a new defibrillator in at the end of May.

Playing Catch Up

September and October were a bit crazy. . . I started back to school and everything seemed to be going good. It is amazing how fast life can change. Found out I was going to be a mom, had to plan a wedding for November and keep up with all the schoolwork. Not what I was expecting in the least. But it is funny how life seems to work itself out. So Dave decided to marry me. I know the most indecisive person in the world when it comes to little stuff has no problem making huge decisions. Never could I have been happier. It seemed that October flew by and I was searching for more time to get everything done. I did however manage, but that jury duty thing Dave had to do kind of made it more difficult. I kept my grades up and everything with school went well. My family while that is a story for another day, but they were happy for me. We decided to do the wedding in November. The 8th yes it was a Thursday. We factored in the leap year so that it would be a Sat the following year. So that we could do a big get together for the families. Hopefully that will work out, but if not I hope to get the families together at some point. I again apologize for not having invited everyone it was a small wedding and everyone can take that up with Dave. . . . .I am so not taking the blame for that one. So after the wedding the moving in thing. . . I guess you never really know how much stuff you have until you have to pack it and move it. (so now it is January, and I still have boxes to unpack). . . it will get done at some point. Sure it will. Married life has been wonderful, (But he still owes me that honeymoon we did not get to take) Jury duty really does come at the worst times in life. I am glad that I married such an amazing man, and I am sure he will be a wonderful father. . . If he learns to have a backbone I have a feeling that the baby is going to be spoiled by not only the grandparents but dad as well. . . . It will be wonderful.

The Baby

<----The first ultrasound. . . He was the size of a coffee bean from what I was told but how cute . . . If only they stayed this small forever. . . Yeah right they grow way to quick for me
