I really think that the back of my truck and mini van say this because in the past two years I have been involved in five accidents. Four of these accidents I have been stopped either at a red light or because of traffic in front of me. As I recall it all began Easter Sunday 2008. That was the only moving accident and the only one that Dave was driving in. A girl made an illegal left hand turn and we ended up hitting the side of her car. (Dave's Truck) The next one was about a month later when we bought the mini van. I just picked the van up from the dealership. I was stopped at a red light when a guy drove his pickup 30mph into the back of the van. Really for both these accidents I was pregnant with Benjamin. It was then that I decided that he will never get his license. And I thought that with both vehicles in accidents we were done for a long time. Oh boy was I wrong. So the next one was a hit and run accident. I was stopped at a red light waiting to turn left when a commercial National Grid truck sideswiped the back of my van. He just kept right on going and I was unable to get his information so I ended up paying to fix the van. Ok things happen I was mad but it got fixed. So I made it through a whole nine months without an accident. Good thing because I was pregnant with Julie. How nice I got a break. . . or so I thought. January 2010 I was stopped at a red light with Benjamin Julie and my nephew Conner in the van and guess what yup sure enough I get rear ended but this time wouldn't you know it was by a Town of Tonawanda Police Officer. Only my luck. All the kids were ok Thank GOD! So Julie had her first car accident and Benjamin had his third? while this would count as his first as well because he was not born yet for the other two so I guess it depends on who is counting. I have not even gotten the van fixed yet because I just got this resolve about three weeks ago, and Guess what happened. . . . Any takers? Right again April 10th (yesterday) I was driving the truck home from my coworkers wedding I stopped because the person in front of me stopped and next think I know a guy goes 40mph into the back of the truck. He hit me so hard that his airbags deployed. So now I get to do it all over again. How fun for me. So I was looking online to see if I was just cursed or people really get into this many accidents and what I found was that the highway department estimated that each driver gets into an accident at least once every six years. HA HA HA HA surly they did not take me into account when they decided this. I guess I should maybe get a job with the insurance company because I am always filling out paperwork for them. And I wonder if it is possible for an insurance company to drop you for two many accidents in a limited time. . . .is this something I need to start worrying about? ONLY ME never would I imaged that this is even possible. I guess I am proof that anything is possible. Anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent people from hitting you when you are stopped at a red light or due to other traffic? If there is a trick please let me know.

The Truck Smiles

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; He keeps up way better than I do with the blog thing. I did however see something that he did not notice while I was in the hospital. I thought it deserved attention. What is different in these two pictures? And the answer is the babies, one is Benjamin the other is Julie. Mom however is almost the exact same except for she added a watch to the hospital outfit for Julie. Sorry Momma but I could not help to point this out and if and when we ever have another baby we do expect the same shirt for the picture so please don't loose it.

The Circle of Insanity

So my godchild Ehryn and her sister Emma came to spend the night on the 2oth. Ehryn is three and Emma is seven months old. This was set up to happen weeks ago. So my sister last minute had a babysitter issue. She asked me if I could watch Conner who is two months old as well. I had told her that I was already going to have three kids at the house and that it was going to be really hard with four, but I could not say no to my nephew. I had Dave home to help and Mom and Dad came over for a few hours to lend us a helping hand. I now know why it is physically impossible to have children less than nine months apart unless you are the few blessed with twins. (glad that is not me) It was a very interesting evening. Every time Ben or Conner cried the other one would start. I had Emma sleep in Ben's crib, Ehryn sleep in the bed in Ben's room, Conner slept in the pack n play downstairs with me on the couch and Ben got the bassinet in our room with Dave. Emma slept through the night, Ehryn got up once at four am thinking it was morning luckily she went back to sleep till seven. Conner was up at twice during the night. I woke Ben up at five thirty when he normally gets up just so he would be changed and fed. All of the kids seemed to be up at seven. I took Ehryn to get donuts then took Conner home at eight. Ehryn and Emma got picked up at ten. From twelve till two Ben and I took a nap while Dave cut the grass. I was so tired. Insanity having that many kids at the house all night.

The Baby Adventure

As we all know the baby is late. So I went to the doctor today had he decided that it was time to make him come out even if he does not want to. 8pm we were told to go to the hospital so that they could start the process of inducing me. It is not looking like we are going to have the baby until late tomorrow but for now we are at the hospital. It would not be so bad but they had to stick me four times prior to getting the IV in my arm. Let me just say ouch! Other than that not much going on. I am sure that when he comes out tomorrow Dave will post pictures for everyone.

Update

Well after a nice letter to the higher ups at the dealership the front window issue is resolved. The dealership replaced the window at no cost to us. One fight down now on to the next fight. Why do insurance companies always think that they know best? So the dealership and the adjuster for the car accident looked at the car and it is going to be $2,500.00 to fix however that is not including $700.00 for the back window. The insurance company is claiming that the crack in the back window was prior damage and was in no way caused by the accident. Hello I only owned the car for two days at that point. So I had to have my insurance company send over the pictures that they took of the car to prove that it was not prior damage. What a hassle. At least I got the car to the insurance company prior to someone hitting it. It seems that this is going to be like the accident that took place on easter (mind you that is still not resolved so Dave's truck has $1,400.00 in damage to it as well). I figure at this pace by the end of summer both cars will be fixed, however we are still waiting for both companies to get a hold of their insured. Oh well at least the cars are drivable and nothing was wrong with the baby. Thank God for that. Two car accidents in less than two months. Hopefully this will be the last one for a really long time. At this point this may be the first and the last kid we have just so that we do not have to deal with anymore insurance companies (yeah right I am sure their will be more than one). Oh and update on the baby. . . . still no progress my doctor decided that he was going to start stretching me out and see if he could move it along. Oh my that was painful but hopefully it will help. Soon enough he will be here.

Only me

Thursday my first day with the new car. I got to show it to a few people and of course I drove it down to the insurance company so that they could do the picture inspection. The problem I found was that when I would go to stop, the steering wheel would shake every time I would brake. Not good for a car that we just got a few hours ago. I called the sales rep back and told her about the problem. It had to go in on Friday for the window so she said they could just look at it then. So I really did not drive anywhere the rest of the day due to the shaking. So Friday morning I get up and take the car to the dealership. By one in the afternoon I had not heard anything from them I called and they were going to call me back in fifteen mins. So three hours later I called back and finally was informed that he car would be ready at eight thirty and they had to replace the brakes on the whole car (front and back pads and new rotors). Ok so I asked about the chip in the window I was then informed that the chip had been sealed by the prior owner and the dealership was refusing to replace the window. They want me to make an insurance claim and have the insurance company replace the window. Not happy at all so Dave is taking it up with the higher ups of North Town. So I got the car and left the dealership.

JUST MY LUCK

Just about two blocks away from the dealership is the intersection of N falls Blvd and Sheridan drive. I was stopped at the red light on Sheridan wouldn't you know a big Chevy Silverado fails stop and goes about 20mph into my new cars back end. MY NEW CAR. . . .MY BABY. . . So we pull over I am in tears called Dave he was driving his truck home and told him where to meet me. The guy that hit me was all in my face and wanted to solve it personally without the police or the insurance companies OH NO so I called the police. The Tonawanda police responded and were unable to do anything because it happened on Amherst side of the intersection. So we waited an hour for the Amherst police to show up. They gave us a complaint # and an exchange of information form. So I called the doctor and drove straight to the hospital to make sure the baby was ok. Everything was fine with the baby so they let me go home after about three hours. Only I could drive two blocks away from the dealership and have a car accident. My baby though is never going to drive. Two car accidents and he is not even born yet. So now we have to go through the insurance for the new car and we have not even gotten the accident from Easter resolved. . . JUST MY LUCK

So the new car now has three dents on the back door, blue paint all over the bumper, and a whole bunch of scratches and dings. wow could I at least make the first car payment or even own the car for more than two days prior to it having to be fixed? I guess not.

Only the Begning

The Old Tracker

And the new Mini Van

So Dave and I decided that we needed to get a bigger car than the Chevy tracker that I had. So we spent the week and went car shopping. The problem with the tracker is that the car seat and was so close to the other seats it would be uncomfortable to drive. We found a good deal on a 2007 Hyundai Entourage (yes a mini van). I was not to excited to buy a mini van but in all reality it will be so much easier with the kid and that way we will not have to buy a new car in a few years if we decided to have more kids (well at least not until we have to drive a van like John's) Not that I don't like the idea of fifteen seats but for me the mini van is a big step. So we got all the paper work together and arrange with North Town to trade in the tracker. I never realized how hard it is to say goodbye to a car. My tracker was a great little suv. So Wednesday night we picked up the new car. As we were going through the car prior to taking delivery we noticed a chip in the window. The sales rep said it would not be a problem to have it fixed. So we made an appointment for Friday to have it fixed.

April

Most of April I spent getting ready for the baby to come. I did a lot of shopping and getting the house together for the baby. Most of the month was normal. My 23rd birthday was the 17th and Dave cooked me dinner and made me a cake. I even got birthday flowers. For my birthday present we got a laptop. I even got to order a cow skin for it. I think that it will be easier when I have to travel and being able to be on the computer anywhere in the house I am sure will come in handy when the baby gets here. My job even gave me a birthday present. They started construction on the roof to remove asbestos. The doctor pulled me out of work the day construction began. They wanted me to return to work for a week after they had finished but my doctor just kept me out. I can tell you that it is weird not having to work 40 hours a week. All this time and I still feel like I get nothing done. We had so much food and my aunt made a cake that that I think everyone would appreciate. She was going to make a little boy but the troll was the only cake pan she had that came close. Momma Payne made the center piece for the table. Very creative. The shower went really well.

So what did March bring?

March. . . Everything was good until Easter. That lovely car accident that we got into at the corner of NFalls Blvd and Sheridan Drive. So that was a great trip to the hospital for the baby. Luckily everything turned out ok and their were no complications with the baby. So the day after Easter gram went back into the hospital. She was so bad that they kept her in the ICU for three days. They finally figured out where she was bleeding from and they were able to tie off the vain's that were bleeding. After they stabilized her and sent her home we have not had to go back. Hopefully this is the last trip to the hospital and they fixed the problem.

Really need to learn to keep up

Ok well like I said I really need to learn to keep up on the blog thing. So February well what really happened? Oh that was the month of hospital visits. My grandmother was in the hospital due to internal bleeding. Her blood level kept dropping and they kept her for three days to run tests. They stabilized her and sent her home. I was hoping that it would be the last hospital visit of the year, boy was I mistaken. About three days later I got a call that informed me that my father was in the hospital. He had a major infection surrounding his heart and his defibrillator. The doctor had to go in and remove the defibrillator in order to get to the infection. Six hours of surgery but that way they could treat the infection. So I had to take the week off from work and go down to Virginia to help take care of my father. It was not a bad trip and my doctor said that I would be fine to drive down but I would not have been able to fly out to Utah for Missy's wedding. It was a good thing due to the fact that it was that weekend that I had to leave to go see my dad in the hospital. I came home on Dave's birthday so that we would be together. It was a rushed trip however it was needed. Dad is doing good and they plan on putting a new defibrillator in at the end of May.

A few of the Wedding pictures. I started back to school and everything seemed to be going good. It is amazing how fast life can change. Found out I was going to be a mom, had to plan a wedding for November and keep up with all the schoolwork. Not what I was expecting in the least. But it is funny how life seems to work itself out. So Dave decided to marry me. I know the most indecisive person in the world when it comes to little stuff has no problem making huge decisions. Never could I have been happier. It seemed that October flew by and I was searching for more time to get everything done. I did however manage, but that jury duty thing Dave had to do kind of made it more difficult. I kept my grades up and everything with school went well. My family while that is a story for another day, but they were happy for me. We decided to do the wedding in November. The 8th yes it was a Thursday. We factored in the leap year so that it would be a Sat the following year. So that we could do a big get together for the families. Hopefully that will work out, but if not I hope to get the families together at some point. I again apologize for not having invited everyone it was a small wedding and everyone can take that up with Dave. . . . .I am so not taking the blame for that one. So after the wedding the moving in thing. . . I guess you never really know how much stuff you have until you have to pack it and move it. (so now it is January, and I still have boxes to unpack). . . it will get done at some point. Sure it will. Married life has been wonderful, (But he still owes me that honeymoon we did not get to take) Jury duty really does come at the worst times in life. I am glad that I married such an amazing man, and I am sure he will be a wonderful father. . . If he learns to have a backbone I have a feeling that the baby is going to be spoiled by not only the grandparents but dad as well. . . . It will be wonderful.

The Baby

<----The first ultrasound. . . Back to school. I think that the hardest part is getting used to a new schedule. I am taking five classes. Two of which are online and three in school. I also have my internship this semester. I just got my placement today and I am doing it with the schools security department. It should be fun but I can also see it being a little boring. I guess I will see when it starts next week. It is such an easier schedule than I have taken before, but it is so close to the end of my degree that I think that I am ready to move on to the next school or step of the process. Well here goes I guess back to writing papers every week and my computer being my best friend. Some days I do not even want to turn it on.

The service

"A person is only truly dead when they are forgotten"

"His memory will live on forever with our love"

The service was very nice and it was wonderful that the family all came together to say goodbye to Grandpa Cy. I was driving on the 288 north on a Sunday afternoon going to visit my dad. I had just got my car fixed because it would shake when I went over 60. That may have been my first mistake. I was going along with all the other traffic when I get pulled over. All the Virginia people were going just as fast as I was if not faster. I asked the cop why he chose me out of everyone that was speeding and he told me that I was guaranteed revenue because I would probably not come back to go to court to fight it. He did however also tell me that he was giving me a break because if I had been a Virginia resident I would have also had a charge for reckless driving. Oh well it happens but I still think he was wrong for singling me out. Damn rednecks picking on the yanks. Ha ha no really it was a bit expensive but it is one of those stories with a cost I guess.

Everything can change

So I am out doing all the running around that I needed to when my father calls and tells me that my grandfather passes away this morning at nine am. So I decided that I was going to leave a day early so that I could have a day at home to relax and get everything done that I needed to. So I went to my dad's house Sunday night and spent the night. I was going to go visit my friend Chuck on Monday night but I decided to go home. So I left at eleven am. And I arrived home at about eleven thirty that night. A seven hour trip turned out to be twelve. I was taking my time and stopping at things that I found to be interesting all in the rain. It rained the whole twelve hours. So I was on my way and I missed an exit. I figured because I was going east I would run into a road that would take me north. I was sadly mistaken. So after being lost for about two hours I finally called my mom for directions. She was able to help and I found my way home. I can say that I never felt better to be home.

Vacation

What does the word vacation mean to you? For one thing my job does not understand what the word means. So Friday night I get a call about the back door being locked. I am six hundred miles away and do not have the keys. Sometimes I wonder if they think before they call me. But I called who I needed to and fixed the problem. So at six o five in the morrning on Saturday I get a phone call saying that the store was not opened, again I AM ON VACATION! so I explained this again and gave out the number of who to call. Just once in my life I want to go on a vacation and not have to be bothered with work. I doubt highly that it will ever happen though.

Wow a lot has happened

Well where should I start when it comes to this week. So Wednesday I spent the day with the kids. I took Megan, Kim and Charlie out to lunch and shopping for presents for them. It was a fun day of running around an area I am not to found of. Then we went and watched Megan try out for the Richmond Rampage softball team (12 and under). She did well but for some reason could not hit the ball to save her life. Everyone but me and Charlie stayed over at Johns house so me and Charlie had the house to ourselves. It would have been better if I did not have to be up at six in the morrning to take Charlie to the filming of the pilot he is in. The name still makes me laugh (The teenie bopper bango) crazy I know but he is enjoying being a part of it. I do not know if it will even make it to TV but if you ask him he is going to be a star. So Thursday night Megan had more tryouts so during the day I took her and Kim to the batting cages, well she still could not hit the ball so mom went and got her a new bat while I went and got my car looked at because it was shaking really bad. It turned out that the tires just needed to be balanced which was only a thirty dollar fix so it worked out. Then we went to Megans tryouts. She did wonderfull in the outfield but still could not hit the ball. It looked like a storm was comming so the coach's decided they were going to post the list of the team online at ten. Well the storm did come. Me and meg went to get ice cream and came home. The rain and wind were crazy. So about twenty to ten wouldn't you know the power goes out so we could not check the list. Nothing is more fun then an eleven year old scared of a storm and crying because she thought she did not make the team. Mom called another parent and found out that by pure luck Megan had made the team. It made for a better night. So bright and early Friday mornning, I had to take Charlie back to the tapping of his thing. It was so unorganized because of the storm and the loss of power that I ran around for two hours with him. I finally dropped him off and went home with Megan to go take a nap and boy did I need it. When I woke up me and mom went out for some girl time and then Charlie joined us for dinner. It was fun. I was going to leave Saturday morrning to go to Charlotsville to see Krystal and Sebe but neither one of them really could figure out when or where so I stayed at moms. Why I am still wondering. . . nine eleven year olds at a sleepover and a lot of sugar need I say more. Well tomorrow I am off to see dad then hopefully to west va to see my boy Chuck then home. It should be fun.

I'm here

So not really a fun trip with an eleven year old on a seven hour car ride, but I have made it here. Well it should be fun and I am excited to be here the way back should be easier. I can site see and visit a few schools that I am interested in attending in December. Well at least I get one more vacation down to VA to see the family, but September is just around the corner. Well I am happy that I only have one more semester before I graduate with my Associates degree, but now I have big decisions to make. Where do I want to go to college? In some ways I want to go as far away from New York as possible and just start over where no one knows who I am, but then I think of everything I would be leaving. I think that in some respects it would be the best thing for me. I would be able to see who in my life really cares enough to keep in touch with me and who will just forget me. I am undecided however I am looking in to colleges both in New York and everywhere else. It amazes me that this seems so hard for me. I want and I need to do something for me with no one else to influence my decisions. I keep thinking how much of other peoples lives I will miss if I leave though. My sister's first baby, my godchild's first day of school, her sister being born. The things that I want to be a part of but my mind keeps telling me to follow my heart and fulfill my dreams because no ones else can do it for me.
